Mary Kay Krokowski's professional background includes over 30 years experience as a registered nurse, graduating from Boston College School of Nursing and acquiring a Masters Degree in Health Advocacy, with a focus on Ethics, from Sarah Lawrence College.  Experiences include medical-surgical nursing plus 5 years of Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department nursing, as well as work as a Clinical Coordinator for Atlantic Homecare and Hospice Departments in Essex County, NJ.  She worked for 3 years as Wellness Nurse and Assisted Living Manager at Brighton Gardens Assisted Living in Florham Park, NJ, receiving the J.W. Marriott Chairman's Award for service to that community. Most recently she has been working as a Geriatric Nurse Care Manager in private practice.

With these positions, she has developed a broad knowledge of medical issues and systems, long term care and rehabilitation, experience with senior residential living options and Senior Services.

Mary Kay is the 2006/2007 President of the New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers, www.njgcm.org. She is also an active member of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of Geriatric Care Managers, the New Jersey State Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association. She has testified as an expert witness in Guardianship cases and has spoken professionally at the annual conferences of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers, www.caremanager.org, the National Association of Social Workers, and the Guardianship Association of New Jersey.

Additionally, she has been active in the community, acting as a member of the Madison Borough Board of Health and as a commissioner on the Madison Downtown Development Commission in Morris County, NJ.
